How do I know my email is secure?
Cipher uses industry standard AES encryption with 256-bit keys to encrypt e-mail messages and attachments. Cipher Secure Links are established using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange method.

Do I have to change the way I send my email?
Once a Cipher Secure Link is established with a recipient, all e-mails to that recipient are automatically encrypted. No complex programs, difficult interfaces, and no third party key management.

Do other people have to buy this program to read my secure email?
No. The FREE Cipher Responder can receive and reply to all secure e-mails sent with the personal or professional versions of Cipher.

Are my email secure once I open them in my Inbox?
Your emails will be as secure as your local machine. Cipher provides secure transport across the Internet, not local machine security.

Does Cipher work with my Outlook Distribution lists?
No, at this time Cipher does not recognize distribution lists. However, in Outlook 2002/2003, you can click the plus sign next to a distribution list to list out all recipients of an email.
